Liberty was born back in 1991 when Pastors Richard and Joan West simultaneously, in prayer, heard God tell them to go to Fairfield, CA and start a church. The church started in a home and began to quickly grow and in 2005 it settled into the property where it currently is now.
Over the years Liberty Church has grown into what it is now, a church that is deeply connected to its community, touching lives in many nations and providing a place for people to encounter the supernatural presence of God.
Our story is filled with testimonies of people young and old getting set free of various things that hinder their life. Whether it’s mentoring teenagers at one of the local schools, serving children with different abilities in our state of the art Champions Club, praying for people who are sick or impacting lives through one of our many Life Groups or missions teams, our story is about touching lives with the love and power of the gospel.
Salvation and Discipleship - We are passionate about seeing people saved, discipled through relationships and becoming fully devoted followers of Christ.
Practical Teaching - We believe in the authority of God’s word and teach the benefits of living in obedience to it in practical life changing ways.
Presence of God - We love experiencing the presence of God through dynamic worship.
Hearing God’s Voice - We encourage believers to grow in their relationship with God by teaching them how to hear, trust, and obey God’s voice. We honor what God says prophetically and pursue its fulfillment individually and corporately.
Cultural Diversity - We reflect the kingdom of God by honoring cultural diversity. We provide a place for people of every background, age and race to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Authentic Community - We provide a safe place for people to be transparent, authentic and accepted while growing in their relationship with God and people.
Children and Youth - We invest in our children and youth by providing a safe, vibrant, and creative environment that enables them to mature as followers of Jesus.
Miracles - We teach that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live a supernatural lifestyle where miracles of God are a regular occurrence in their lives.
Missions - We are a missional church from the top down that equips every believer to demonstrate the love and power of the gospel at work, in school, at play, and through local and global outreach.
We are a relational community of mature followers of Jesus where everyone is making disciples through demonstrating the love and power of the gospel.
We exist to spread the gospel locally and globally through genuine compassion, radical generosity and bold faith in God’s word.
In the next 3 years Liberty Church will establish 5 missional campuses and 30 missional communities within a 20-mile radius of Fairfield. It is our strong conviction that the gospel believed is the gospel lived! We believe that the gospel brings awareness to the needs going on around us and that it is our responsibility to mend what has been broken. The cities of Solano County have become a spiritually dry, barren land where the core human needs of value, identity and acceptance have greatly diminished. Broken families, poverty and overall feelings of hopelessness have led to high crime rates, escalated high school dropout rates, and racial and economic disparity in our communities. There has never been a more pivotal time for followers of Jesus to rise up...
